Recently I watched the most recent series of Silent Witness on the BBC (https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007y6k8). Firstly I need to say how much I love Liz Carr and whilst I'm gutted she is leaving the show I think its been wonderful that she became a core character over the last few years. It is rare we have someone who represents both queer and disabled communities and I am very excited to see what she is up to next.
The show itself has also covered lesbian characters although I have been a little conflicted on occasion. For example one of the couples in a domestic abuse story-line was a lesbian couple and the representation was less than positive. That said, Silent Witness manages to weave queer characters into the series, and given that it is about a forensic pathology team story-lines will inevitably revolve around serious crimes.
